Dog Breeds That Get Chilly

Dog Breeds That Get Chilly

As the weather warms up, we’re all getting excited to head outside, and our pets are excited to spend more time outside too! However, even the warming temperatures can be a little chilly for a few dog breeds.

The Chihuahua is the smallest dog breed, so it should come as no surprise that these animals get cold easily, but they aren’t the only one. Hairless breeds, like the Chinese Crested, get pretty chilly too. Many small breeds get chilly, but large breeds can get cold too. Greyhounds are known for getting a little chilly, as are Miniature Pinschers.

If you have one of these breeds, or if you notice the chilly weather makes your pet feel uncomfortable, consider letting him wear a sweater. For more tips on how to keep your pet warm in cool weather, visit with your veterinarian Oshawa, ON, The Clarington Animal Hospital PC.
