Warm weather hazards

Warm weather hazards

Your pet means the world to you, and you want to make sure he is as happy as he can be at all times. In order for him to be comfortable in your care, he needs to know that he is safe. This means that he will need you to be aware of hazards that exist within your living environment, like those that the warmer months can bring with them.

Use local weather predictions to plan out your activities. There may need to be some augmenting of original plans, particularly if you planned on spending a lot of time outside. Your pet will need to be in a shaded area, and have frequent opportunities to cool off indoors. Walks and play sessions may need to be shortened, as water breaks will be more frequent. Some areas may need to be avoided, like hot asphalt that can harm your pet’s paw pads. For more information, please contact your Animal Hospital Fayetteville, NC.
