Does my Quaker Parrot need a Veterinarian?

It’s important that your Quaker parrot sees a veterinarian on a regular basis just like any other pet including cats and dogs. If you’ve just recently purchased your parrot, schedule a first time visit with your vet so your vet can meet the parrot. Even if your bird isn’t sick, your vet can still see the parrot and make notes of behavior and physical traits about your parrot. These notes may come in handy if your parrot gets sick later on. In addition, depending on where you live your Quaker parrot may need to be vaccinated before he can go home with you. Or, your vet may be required to have you register your bird with the local town or city offices. It all depends on where you live and what the rules are for your region. For more information about your parrot’s vet needs, consult with your own veterinarian Ellicott, MD. See details here.
